Service Development
The construction of the new Forensic and Long Bay Hospitals at Malabar will enable Justice Health to provide care for forensic patients and the mentally ill in line with national and international best practice. The two hospitals will significantly increase the number of beds available for forensic and mentally ill patients in NSW.
Other service developments include planning for health facilities in future Correctional Centres and in expansions of current centres across NSW.
Justice Health Strategic Plan 2010
The Justice Health Strategic Plan to 2010 has been formulated to reflect the seven strategic directions of NSW Health and the goals of the NSW Government’s State Plan. The Plan will act as a guide to navigate Justice Health through the many challenges to be faced by the organisation in the coming years.
