The Custodial Health (Rural) Graduate Nurse Program provides a range of experiences within health clinics located at various Correctional Centres in rural areas of NSW. The program will provide opportunities to provide specialized health care services in a unique environment for those that come in contact with the Criminal Justice System.
The Network’s Graduate Nurse Program provides:

- Core study days and mandatory training
- Clinical rotations, dependent on the allocated facility
- Access to reflective clinical supervision
- Clinical support and education from Clinical Nurse Educators and experienced specialty clinicians
- Allocated preceptors during each rotations
- Opportunity to complete the University of Tasmania (UTAS) Clinical Honors
Program placements for the Statewide Program may include (but is not be limited to):
- Cessnock Correctional Centre
- Frank Baxter Adolescent Health Centre
- Goulburn Correctional Centre
- Mid North Coast Correctional Centre
- Bathurst Correctional Centre
- South Coast Correctional Centre
- Wellington Correctional Centre

Intake is between February and April each year

Applications are accepted through the NSW Nursing and Midwifery Office (NaMO) centralised online recruitment site.

Face to face Interviews will be held at the Justice Health Administration Centre in Malabar, Sydney.
