We are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all staff. Justice Health NSW has solid systems in place to manage health and safety risks and continually striving to improve those systems will result in a safer work environment, with fewer workplace injuries and illnesses.
When injuries do occur, Justice Health NSW is committed to injury management aimed at an early and sustainable return to work of injured employees, in accordance with the law. Incidents will be reported to WorkCover NSW in accordance with the relevant legislation.
Security is a key component of our orientation and training process. We work closely in partnership with Corrective Services NSW and Juvenile Justice, ensuring custodial staff are present at all times when Justice Health NSW staff are treating patients within correctional and Juvenile Justice centre’s.
In the Forensic Hospital setting all staff receive intensive training in the prevention and management of violence and aggression.
