The Performance and Planning directorate is responsible for the Network’s whole-of-organisation communications, cultural leadership and advice, planning and performance; and governance functions, including policy coordination, client liaison, implementation; and oversight of the Network's patient safety, clinical quality and risk management framework. 

Performance and Planning is the Network’s primary contact point with the Network Board, Ministry of Health, Ministers’ offices, other agencies and jurisdictions, as well as members of the public and media.

The directorate also provides analysis and coordination of Network responses to wider health and external reform activities, including contestability and commissioning in the correctional setting.

The directorate comprises the following teams:

  • Clinical and Corporate Governance

  • Communications, including the Office of the Chief Executive

  • Commissioning Unit

  • Performance and Strategy Unit.
