The Forensic Mental Health Service provides comprehensive mental health care to people who come into contact with the NSW criminal justice system or are at an increased risk of such contact.

The Forensic Mental Health Service (FMHS) comprises the following services:

  • Statewide Community and Court Liaison Service (SCCLS)
  • Community Correctional Mental Health Service (CCMHS)
  • Community Forensic Mental Health Service (CFMHS)

These services promote continuity of care and health promotion, through a population health based model to optimise patient health outcomes. They are also responsible for planning, coordination and the strategic direction in the areas of forensic mental health

The Forensic Mental Health services work closely with the Forensic Hospital and the Long Bay Hospital.
